Product Usage

All Kalpataru Doors are designed strictly for internal use only. Exposure to external environments such as direct sunlight, rain, or snow—even during storage—can void the warranty.

Storage Guidelines

To maintain quality and ensure warranty coverage:

  1. Store doors on paved/tiled floors or plastic pallets—never on bare ground.

  2. Avoid damp, hot environments and contact with cement/steel roofs.

  3. Maintain a minimum of 1-foot space from walls and between stacks.

  4. Stack a maximum of 25 doors and avoid placing loads on top.

  5. Use corrugated/plastic sheets between doors and cover with plastic to prevent damage.

  6. Ensure equal support with blocks or pallets at a minimum of three points to prevent warping.

Installation Guidelines

  1. Doors must not be sanded (MPD, MVPD, DCF, FDV, FDL).

  2. Apply 6mm lipping on all four edges.

  3. Leave 4mm gaps on three sides and 12mm at the bottom to accommodate expansion.

  4. Max trimming: 25mm (1″) from length and width—trimming must be equal on both sides.

  5. Use only new diamond blades to avoid chipping.

  6. Fix using threaded screws and star screwdrivers—never use nails or hammers.

  7. Only install after completion of flooring and wet work.

  8. Use only mortise/cylindrical/tubular locks as recommended.

  9. For doors in wet areas, leave a floor gap of ¾”–1”.

Decorative Work

  1. Both sides must use matching sheets/veneers (same brand, thickness, type).

  2. Any mismatch voids the warranty.

  3. Apply all decorative sheets using hydraulic press and cure under pressure for 48 hours.

Finishing and Maintenance

  1. Apply a single coat of primer upon receipt to protect against weather.

  2. Clean only with a damp cloth—avoid chemicals and petrol-based cleaners.

  3. Apply paint/polish/PU coat on all six sides to prevent moisture damage.

  4. For high-moisture areas, a Polyurethane (PU) coat is recommended.

Warranty

Warranty is subject to compliance with all installation and storage guidelines. Failure to follow these will void the warranty.

Limitation of Liability

Kalpataru Doors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from improper storage, installation, or unauthorized modifications.
